ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – The Zachary Police Department is informing the community about active shooter exercises that are scheduled to take place this week.
Do not be alarmed by all of the police activity around Zachary High School.
According to the Zachary Police Department, “drills are a joint effort with a large group of law enforcement, fire service and emergency medical services having the initial drill Monday 04/05/2021 and repeating each of the next three days 04/06, 04/07, 04/08/, so all shifts can participate.”
Over the next four days, authorities expect the active shooter scenarios to start between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The Zachary Police Department is looking for volunteers to play the roles of victims and bystanders.
