The new restaurant, located at 1100 Americana Blvd. in Zachary, will open at 11 a.m. on Monday. But consider arriving a little early: The first 25 dine-in customers will receive a mini football autographed by New Orleans Saints superstar and Walk-On’s Co-Owner Drew Brees!
“Walk-On’s has been a huge hit ever since the very first restaurant opened here in Baton Rouge, and we’re so excited to give Zachary a Walk-On’s all its own,” said Jason Gisclair, Vice President of the DBMC Restaurant Group, owner of the local franchise. “Our menu features some of the best food you’ll find anywhere and our game-day atmosphere is perfect for sports fans of all ages. We’re also looking forward to getting involved with the community and continuing our Zachary High and Zachary Youth Park sponsorships.”
The DBMC Restaurant Group is no stranger to the restaurant industry. The company operates restaurants in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Florida.
“Jason and his team have done an extraordinary job with their new restaurant and I know how excited they are to open Zachary’s first Walk-On’s,” said Brandon Landry, co-founder and owner of Walk-On’s Enterprises. “They built a stunning restaurant and hired a great staff. The community is going to be really impressed.”
Walk-On’s is renowned for its signature menu featuring a taste of Louisiana served up in a game-day atmosphere by America’s Cheerleaders, who make sure every guest feels welcome.
When the Zachary restaurant opens, it will be the fourth Walk-On’s in the greater Baton Rouge area and the 11th system-wide. It will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“I grew up in the area and have always had a natural affinity for the people here in Zachary,” said Jarred Murphy, General Manager of the newest Walk-On’s. “This is such a great town and the people here deserve their very own, convenient place to enjoy delicious food while cheering on their favorite teams.”
Walk-On’s will also mark the opening with an invitation-only VIP night this Saturday, March 11. During the event, proceeds from the cash bar will benefit BREC. The Zachary Chamber of Commerce, Mayor David Amrhein, representatives of Zachary High Athletics and other local dignitaries will be in attendance.
Walk-On’s now has 11 locations: four in Baton Rouge, one each in New Orleans, Lafayette, Houma, Shreveport, Lake Charles and Bossier City, La., and one in Lubbock, Texas. Other locations are on the way in Alexandria, Ascension Parish and Metairie, La.; Austin, Beaumont, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Tyler, Texas; Auburn and Tuscaloosa, Ala.; Gainesville and Tallahassee, Fla., Gulfport, Miss.; and Knoxville and Nashville, Tenn. Several additional markets across the Southern United States are likewise on the drawing board.
