Dear Parents,

Students in grades PK-5th grade will NOT report to campus today. Teachers will contact you and/or your child regarding any work to be done today in preparation for our return tomorrow.

Sacred Heart of Jesus School Baton Rouge is not opening at its usual time on Monday morning.

The school sent this message to parents:

An accident at North and 23rd has knocked out the power at school. Please do not arrive at normal time! At this moment, we have no ETA from Entergy on restoration, so we must delay the start of school until we have more info. I will update you as soon as I am able.

Entergy is saying that a “vehicle hit a pole in the area and the initial impact affected approximately 700 customers. Crews are quickly and safely working to restore power to the remaining customers without power.”
