BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A scientist at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center has been named an Amazon Scholar.

Dr. Steven Heymsfield is a Professor as well as Director of the Metabolism and Body Composition Laboratory.

According to the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, “In the role, Dr. Heymsfield will help develop digital health and wellness tools for the Amazon Halo organization.”

Amazon Halo recently added new features to its fitness band and app.
