A Kenilworth Science and Technology School student placed third at the 2020 Louisiana State Science and Engineering Fair, which was adapted to be a virtual fair this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Student Sara Patterson’s project, “Isoperimetric Inequality,” placed first in the mathematics division of Baton Rouge-area regional competition, and Kenilworth was the only Baton Rouge school to have a student place first in the mathematics section of the fair, according to the school.

Judges conducted online reviews of contestants’ plans and research for their projects and notified winners of the results via email over the weekend, according to Kenilworth’s Facebook page.
