BATON ROUGE ,La (BRPROUD) –  So what did you do during quarantine this summer?

While most people are trying to figure out how to spend their quarantine summer, Jason Park, a Baton Rouge Magnet High School Student, spent five weeks creating a new fungicide to protect crops.

Park and 35 other top science students around the world participated in the Summer Science Program this summer.

The students spent over 300 hours gathering and analyzing data to create a small molecule inhibitor which protects crops from that fungus.
