BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A toy company in Baton Rouge has found a way to recognize those who are fighting COVID-19 on the front lines.

Tatro: Hand-Built Magnetic Toys is launching a new paper playset for kids.

The new playset is called “Hometown Heroes” and it was created “to honor the work of frontline employees during COVID-19,” according to the local toy company.

On Saturday, May 30, Tatro: Hand-Built Magnetic Toys is going to give out free playsets.

The drive-thru giveaway is scheduled to take place at Mestizo from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The toy company provided this description of what the “Hometown Heroes” paper playset is all about:

In Hometown Heroes, “Hopeville” as the city is named, makes frontline workers such as healthcare workers, teachers, delivery workers, and cleaning staff essential to keep the city moving. The illustrations are inspired by the sidewalk chalk initiatives throughout the U.S. that have brought hope to so many.

These toys are intended for kids ages 3-12.

Mestizo is located at 2323 S Acadian Thruway.

If you are interested, the free playsets will only be available while supplies last.
