Locals react to Manchester bombing

The River Center is the home of many concerts in Baton Rouge.
Thousands attend events there every year.
Monday’s bombing at the Manchester Arena, had a lot of people on edge.
Michael Day says security here at the River Center is at its best.
” Security is extremely important to us. We work very closely with BRPD. BRPD is fantastic. They help us with anything we need. They have a strong presence in and around the river center. And I think we do a good job with providing a safe venue for our patrons,” said Day.
Still many are fearful after Monday’s bombing.
Resident, Avery Jarreau said, “Just hearing what happened, and knowing so many people got killed, just makes me not want to go to concerts.”

” Well I have two daughters that are getting up in age. And to hear something like that, yes that is very scary. Its just a lesson learned that they are going to have to do more security and more checking. It’s a lot they need to do,” said Broderick Carter.

Despite the threat, people here say they wont give in to the terrorists. They say they will continue to live and enjoy life in the Capital City.
