Long lines, high turnout in Livingston Parish with early voting underway

WALKER, La (WVLA/WGMB)— We are in the midst of early voting over in Livingston Parish as Friday is the first day you can cast your ballot early.

With a line of people out the door at the Denham Springs-Walker library Friday, the command post was full of people exercising their right to vote. The turnout has been heavy for early voting in the parish, as hundreds made their way to polls starting at 5:00 a.m.

Voter Tanner Philpot says although the lines were long, they went by rather quickly.

Philot calls it a pleasant experience for what he believes in a critical ballot.
