According to a news release from Journalistic.org, to find the data top “Hot” posts for state subreddits were analyzed. The most popular cuss word that Americans used was sh*t, with 19% of cusses used, according to data from BonusFinder.com.

Louisiana checked in as the eighth “sweariest state” in the United States. According to the data, out of 881 posts, the state used 4.7 cuss words per post. Louisiana had a total of 4,103 cuss words in posts.
