BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A St. Francisville man who has previously worked as a deputy for the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office is facing 50 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
William Herrin, 60, was arrested after a joint investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was booked into the West Feliciana Parish Detention Center.
“I would like to thank Sheriff Spillman and his office for their help and cooperation,” Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said. “I remain grateful for my Cyber Crime Unit and our law enforcement partners who work tirelessly to find and arrest the criminals producing, distributing, and possessing sexual abuse images and videos of children.”
Landry said his office is committed to investigating and arresting those suspected of exploiting children, regardless of their jobs.
