RAPIDES PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Forestry enforcement agents arrested a Rapides Parish woman on Sept. 28 on a charge of obstruction of justice for the second time.

According to the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry (LDAF), Laura C. McLaughlin of Pitkin was taken into custody in Vernon Parish on Sept. 28 for an additional count of obstruction of justice.

McLaughlin was also arrested on Sept. 22 on four counts of arson and one count of obstruction of justice regarding multiple wildfires in the Union Hill area of Rapides Parish, according to LDAF.

She was taken to the Rapides Parish Jail and her bond was set to $5,000. According to LDAF, McLaughlin posted bond and was released.
