A Louisiana police department says two of its officers were arrested on harassment and domestic violence charges over the weekend.
Police Chief Ben Raymond told news outlets on Monday that Shreveport Police Domestic Violence investigators arrested Officer Delandro Washington on Saturday and charged him with improper telephone communications, improper language and harassment.
The department confirmed that Officer Jaquerus Turner was arrested the same day on charges of domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
Raymond said both officers were placed on leave pending an investigation.
No additional details were immediately released.
