Louisiana state officials to hold open enrollment Medicaid, Medicare forum Nov. 29

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Louisiana Sen. Regina Barrow, Congressman Troy Carter, Sen. Cleo Fields and The Louisiana Department of Health and the Louisiana Leadership Institute is sponsoring a Medicaid and Medicare Informational Forum on Nov. 29 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Louisiana Leadership Institute.

All brands of the COVID-19 vaccination is available for attendees who need to be vaccinated or receive booster shots.

A $100 gift card will also be given to those who are receiving the vaccination shot for the first time.

“We encourage anyone seeking information to join us at this forum, but especially those with questions specifically about open enrollment, those who wish to change their current plan, those who’s current plan may not be working for them and those who may not be familiar with the various plans available,” said Sen. Barrow. This is our opportunity to keep our communities informed on important topics regarding their health care. We’re coming together in an effort to keep Louisiana safe, healthy and in the know,” she added.

  • Louisiana Blue Advantage
  • Humana
  • People’s Health
  • Vantage Health

Open enrollment deadline for Medicare plans Dec. 7, 2021

Medicaid plans also invited to attend the forum includes;

  • Louisiana Healthcare Connection
  • Healthy Blue
  • Aetna
  • Americhealth
  • United Healthcare

Open enrollment for Medicaid plans ends Nov. 30, 2021.
