Louisiana State Police issues endangered child advisory for 17-year-old runaway

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Louisiana State Police has issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on behalf of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office for 17-year-old Jordan Prether, who may be headed to Tennesee with a 35-year-old man.

Prether was reported missing on Wednesday, and she was last seen Tuesday at 8 p.m. at her home on Savage Forks Road in Leesville, according to LSP spokesperson Casey Wallace.

Prether is believed to be with 35-year-old Mark Owen, and the two may be traveling to Tennessee in a 2009 Jeep Patriot Sport with Tennessee license plate 503VRR.

Prether is described as a white female with short red or auburn hair. She stands at 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds.

Owen is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. Owen is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds, according to LSP.
