RESERVE La. (BRPROUD) – On Saturday afternoon, the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help locating a murder suspect.
On that same day, deputies were called to a deadly shooting in Reserve.
SJPSO said, “The victim was shot several times and was pronounced deceased on scene.”
As the ensuing investigation unfolded, Ashley Marie Johnson-Washington became a primary suspect in this deadly shooting.
“Detectives determined that Washington fled the scene in a 2012 Kia Sorento that was last seen travelling eastbound on I-10 from LaPlace,” according to the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Johnson-Washington was arrested, according to the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The murder suspect was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Sunday, October 2.
