NATCHITOCHES, La. (BRPROUD) – 24-year-old Haylie Humphries, of Natchitoches, was arrested after a traffic stop on Thursday night.

Humphries was driving a Pontiac at the time of the traffic stop.

The traffic stop was made for a window tint violation.

Deputies noticed Humphries and a 2-year-old in the vehicle.

At some point during the investigation, K9 “Misty” was asked to search the vehicle.

K9 “Misty” alerted deputies to the presence of drugs in the Pontiac.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, “deputies located approximately 1.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe inside a backpack that was in the front passenger side seat.”

The 24-year-old woman was arrested and is currently in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.

Humphries is facing these charges:

  • Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Obstruction of Justice
  • Illegal window tint
  • Driving under suspension
  • CDS in the presence of a juvenile

NPSO says, “a family member took custody of the child.”
