Louisiana’s Young Republican Federation; announces new leadership team for 2022

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Heading into 2022 Louisiana’s Young Republican Federation (LYRF) group announces new team leaders— Marcus Maldonado as Chairman and Nathan Sanders as the organization’s Vice-Chairman. 

LYRF is Louisiana’s largest young conservative organization, with over 100 members working to recruit, train, and elect young Republicans to public and party officials, the press release states.

Maldonado and Sanders released the following statement;

“As we approach the re-election campaign of Senator John Kennedy and Louisiana’s 5 Republican members of Congress, we are excited to get to work growing the Louisiana Young Republicans and working to Recruit, Train, and Elect Young Republicans up and down the ballot in 2022 and a Republican Governor in 2023. Our new leadership team could not be better prepared to tackle this challenge, and we can’t wait to see what our local clubs across the state will achieve.” 

According to the news release, the LYRF’s new team leader— Marcus Maldonado has held leadership positions in various conservative organizations, currently working as Programs Manager with Students for Liberty where he leads leadership and entrepreneurship development for students across North America.

Nathan Sanders has been a long-time member of the Louisiana Young Republicans, as a founding member of the Greater Baton Rouge Young Republicans in 2015. He is currently a Grassroots Engagement Director at Americans for Prosperity, where he leads grassroots activities in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
