DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) – A lengthy investigation involving the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of three people on drug and gun charges.

The investigation took months and involved LPSO Narcotics Agents.

The evidence led investigators to monitor a home on Hwy 16.

The three individuals who were arrested on Thursday, Jan. 13 are 31-year-old Quwinton Norman, of Denham Springs, 42-year-old Tyrone DeJoie, Jr., of New Orleans and 20-year-old Shadaejah Credit, of Denham Springs.

During the investigation, these items were obtained by law enforcement:

  • Methamphetamine (53 pounds, Approx Street Value: $265,000)
  • Black tar heroin
  • Cocaine (Approx Street Value: $30,000)
  • Marijuana (Approx Street Value: $5,000)
  • drug paraphernalia
  • gun
  • cash
  • Vehicle

Norman, DeJoie, Jr. and Credit are all currently behind bars in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘Through this investigation, we were able to seize more than $300,000 in illegal drugs & almost $100,000 in drug money. These cases take time. But, they are effective. This is quite a large bust for this area. A known distributor, Quwinton Norman – is off the streets & hopefully, we saved some lives here in Livingston Parish. Know that our LPSO Narcotics Division is active & working to protect you & your family.’

The investigation remains ongoing and more arrests are possible in this case.

The US Department of Homeland Security assisted the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office on this investigation.
