LIVINGSTON, La. (BRPROUD) – The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating two armed robberies that happened over the span of 11 days this month.

The first armed robbery took place on January 14 at the Dollar Tree located at 33939 LA Hwy 16 in Watson.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘Upon entering, the suspect produced a handgun and demanded cash from the register.”

The second armed robbery happened on January 25 around 9 pm.

LPSO was called to another Dollar General located at 10309 Hwy 1019 in Denham Springs.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘The unidentified suspect told the employee to remove money from the register. The suspect then fled.’

50-year-old Seaton Odell Williams, of Denham Springs and 42-year-old Rachel A Araque, of Denham Springs were arrested in connection with these armed robberies.

LPSO believe that Williams and Araque are “tied to both.”

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office provided video of the perp walks for Williams and Araque.

Williams and Araque are currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Seaton Odell Williams is charged with 2 counts of Armed Robbery and Rachel A. Araque is charged with 2 counts of Principal to Armed Robbery.

Sheriff Ard says, ‘Armed Robbery and Burglary Detectives were able to connect both Williams & Araque to both crimes. Detectives were also able to recover the weapon used & the clothing worn at the time of the crimes. I’ve said this before and I will say it again. I’m proud of my deputies and how hard they work on these cases – if you think you’re going to get away with committing crimes in this parish, think again.’

The investigation remains ongoing.
