BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Local law enforcement agencies in our area are all about keeping the community you live in safe and hosting several events in the area.

The agency will participate in National Seat Check Saturday by partnering with the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force and local agencies to provide free child passenger safety seat checks. Checks will be conducted by nationally certified child passenger safety technicians who will provide hands-on child safety seat inspections and answer questions at no charge.

If you’re interested in attending, it’ll be held at LCMC Outpatient Clinic, 9001 Summa Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Troop A will be hosting its annual Troop A Safety Day event for all ages! They partnered with local and state agencies to bring the health and safety message to people of all ages, ranging from car seat safety to elderly affairs. There will be many activities for kids as well as a several food trucks, health screenings, and static displays.

The expo will be Saturday, October 1st from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet Campus.
