GOLDEN MEADOW, La. (BRPROUD) – The Louisiana State Police received a call about a motorcycle accident around 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 26.

Upon arrival, deputies determined that the single-vehicle crash was deadly.

Ace Billiot, 42, of, Golden Meadow died while travelling north on LA 1.

LSP says the deadly crash took place on “LA 1 about 5 miles south of Louisiana Highway 3235.”

At the time of the crash, Billiot was driving a 2021 Honda motorcycle.

According to the Louisiana State Police, “Billiot was passing other northbound vehicles at a high rate of speed as he approached a left curve.”

The 42-year-old was unable to navigate the curve.

LSP says, “Billiot traveled off the roadway to the right while in the curve, struck a utility pole, and was ejected from the motorcycle.”

Billiot was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Despite this, Billiot died at the crash scene.

Investigators are awaiting toxicology results from Ace Billiot.

The investigation into this deadly crash remains ongoing.
