LSU Band pep rally, march for game in Tuscaloosa cancelled

BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC Local 33)(Fox 44) – The Golden Band from Tigerland won’t be marching into Bryant-Denny Stadium on Alabama’s campus Saturday when the Tigers take on the Crimson Tide.

According to a Facebook post, the band is cancelling their customary pep rally and march into the stadium due to heightened security.

Security at the game is being amplified with President Donald Trump’s expected visit.

He will be attending the game in person. Gates at Bryant-Denny are also opening early at 11 a.m. ahead of the 2:30 p.m. kickoff because of security.

The Golden Band’s post ends with a message “Hope to see you inside Bryant-Denny stadium to cheer on our Tigers!”
