LSU Community to celebrate higher education fundraiser

LSU will publicly launch the largest fundraising campaign for higher education in the history of Louisiana; a press release will be distributed that morning.

Come celebrate this historic occasion at a Community Celebration to be held Friday, March 29. Guests will commemorate the campaign launch in a festival-style environment featuring interactive exhibits that will bring LSU’s campaign priorities to life, live entertainment and food.

WHAT: LSU Campaign Launch Community Celebration

WHEN: Friday, March 29, noon to 3 p.m., with remarks beginning at 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: LSU Parade Ground, Highland Road at Dalrymple Drive

SPEAKERS: LSU President F. King Alexander, LSU Executive Vice President & Provost Stacia Haynie, LSU alumna and entrepreneur Sevetri Wilson and LSU Student Body President Stewart Lockett

INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES LED BY LSU STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF: Entrepreneurship, Industrial Control Room, LASAL Scholars, MARS Truck and Boyajian’s Star, Phantom Project, Printmaking Shop, Remote Operated Vessel, Shelter Medicine Trailer, T. Harry Williams Oral History Center, TigerRacing Car and Virtual Reality Tilt Brush
