LSU fans not surprised by 13-0 record

BATON ROUGE, La.-(LOCAL 33)(FOX 44)- The LSU Tigers took home the SEC Championship with a win over Georgia, Saturday by a 37-10 score, continuing their undefeated streak in the regular season.

But some Tiger fans weren’t too surprised by the numbers on the scoreboard.

In fact, a few were expecting the victory. Brian Vandreumel, a longtime LSU fan, says “LSU’s got a superstar offense. Georgia’s got a superstar defense. We had to see how that would play out, Vandreumel says. But right now it’s looking like it’s playing out pretty well for us.”

Georgia has played this season, finishing with a 11-2 record.

But that record did not scare anyone going into the game.

LSU opponents might call this confidence liquid courage, but Tiger fans call it Joe Burrow.

“Joe Burrow has been a storybook story the entire way through the season,” Vandreumel says.

But whether they won or lost the game today, fans say the hope and excitement Joe Burrow and the rest of the team gave fans would be almost as sweet as a bowl win.
