BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Friday, August 12 will mark a memorable moment for over 900 LSU Tigers as they participate in the Summer 2022 Commencement Ceremonies.

According to LSU, the graduation ceremony will be held indoors at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and the keynote address will be delivered by LSU Board chair Rémy Voisin Starns.

Those who attend will enjoy a performance both of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and the LSU Alma Mater by LSU’s Jamey Wright, a candidate for Doctor of Musical Arts.

LSU says that though the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic is ever-changing and adjustments may need to be made to COVID precautions, at this time, guests can expect the following attendance guidelines:

  • Masks are not required in any venue. However, masks are highly encouraged.
  • There will be no restrictions on the number of attending guests.
  • Graduates will be invited to walk across the stage while their names are called.
  • Doors will open for each event approximately one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
  • At the culmination of the ceremony, graduates and their guests should plan to meet outside the venue.
  • Clear bags will not be required. However, all bags will be subject to a search upon entry.
