LSU to prioritize season ticket holders for 2020 football season

News

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33)(FOX 44) – The LSU Athletics Ticket Office announces plans to prioritize both season ticket holders and student seats for the upcoming 2020 football season.

Brian Broussard, the head of ticketing operations at LSU says the purchase of individual game tickets will not be an option for the season as of now. In order to promote social distancing and align seating with capacity limitations, only student and season tickets will be available.

“Maximize the capacity to whatever you can, but obviously if you look around the country there’s considerations being made for lower capacities everywhere,” Broussard says. “We’ll have to take that into effect here.”

Broussard says that both season and student ticket holders will be placed as closely to their original seats as possible with the new standards in place, but there will be some changes. Ticket-holders will not be notified of their seats until the capacity limitations have been cleared.

If season or student ticket holders want to opt out for this year, they have three options.

  • They can opt out for the 2020 football season completely and get a refund.
  • They can donate the money spent on seats to the Tiger Athletic Fund
  • They can transfer those tickets to the 2021 football season as a credit.
