BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – It is ‘Bama week!

LSU is set to head to Tuscaloosa for a night game against the Crimson Tide. Both teams are coming off a weekend where they did not play. The Tigers come into the game ranked 13th in the latest AP Top 25 Poll while Alabama sits at 8th.

LSU is 6-2 in the season after a 62-0 win over the Army Black Knights. Alabama is 7-1 after a two-touchdown win at home over Tennessee. The Tigers beat Alabama 32-31 in Tiger Stadium last year.

Head coach Brian Kelly spoke with the media on Monday, Oct. 30.

“We’ve got to raise our level of preparation this week,” he said. “It’s not about rising up to the competition, it’s rising to the level of preparation necessary to play an outstanding football team in all three phases.”

The LSU head coach then talked about the current offensive coordinator at Alabama, Tommy Rees.

“He’s somebody that I have a lot of respect for in what he’s done certainly at Notre Dame and then in a very short time taking an offense and transforming it quickly during the season,” he said.

Kelly was asked if he is in the same position as last year, would he go for two again? You can hear Kelly’s answer in the video player above.
