WALKER, La. (BRPROUD) – 20-year-old Byron Thomas Pace was recently arrested after a “lengthy” investigation by the Walker Police Department.

The investigation centered around allegations of sex crimes against a juvenile.

Pace is facing these charges:

  • Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile
  • Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile
  • Oral Sexual Battery of a Juvenile
  • Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor

Police Chief David Addison said, “As the Chief of Police of Walker, I have no tolerance for the commission of sex crimes against children,” Chief Addison stated. “We take cases like this seriously and we devote the full measure of our resources and of those available to us to bringing sexual predators to justice.”

Pace is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center and bond has been set at $300,000.

The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office assisted with this investigation.

At this time, the Walker Police Department is not releasing any more information about this case because of the victim’s age.
