Man facing one count of terrorizing among other charges in connection with attempted fire at apartment in BR

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – 36-year-old Derrick Davis was apprehended by Baton Rouge Fire Investigators on Tuesday, October 26.

The arrest happened after an investigation into an incident that allegedly took place at an apartment in the the 1700 block of North Marque Ann Dr.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, “On September 26, 2021, BRPD Uniform Patrol responded to the address and found that an unknown substance was poured on the doorway.”

Fire investigators concluded that the 36-year-old man had tried to start a fire at the apartment.

Davis is facing these charges:

  • Attempted Aggravated Arson
  • Improper Telephone Communication
  • Terrorizing

As of Wednesday, no bond has been set for Derrick Davis.
