Mayor Broome recognizing students at St. Joseph’s “for winning the 2021 Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation”

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A special ceremony is taking place at St. Joseph’s Academy on Wednesday morning.

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and students from St. Joseph’s Academy are coming together to celebrate an accomplishment.

Students at St. Joseph’s Academy will be recognized “for winning the 2021 Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation and contributing to more than 8,200 total students in East Baton Rouge Parish who pledged to use water more efficiently, reduce pollution, and conserve energy,” according to the mayor’s office.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:20 a.m.

St. Joseph’s Academy is located at 3015 Broussard St.
