BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — This week, Baton Rouge animal shelter Companion Animal Alliance chose a 4-year-old dark brindle dog named Mackie to showcase on its social media.
Mackie, who landed in the shelter through no fault of her own, was surrendered to CAA because her previous owner couldn’t afford to continue caring for her, according to a CAA Facebook post.
Mackie is house trained and knows the commands “sit,” “down” and “shake.”
She has previously lived with children ages 5 to 10, and his playful pup does well with other dogs, according to CAA.
CAA, located at 2550 Gourrier Ave., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
