Minority business center to launch open house at SULC Nov. 17

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Louisiana Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) is set to launch an open house on Wed. Nov. 17 at the Valdry Center, located at the Southern University Law Center (SULC) Agricultural and Mechanical College from 6PM to 8PM. The news was announced in a press release on Tue. Nov. 9.

The MBDA business center event is open to the public with limited seating. Guests are encouraged to register by Nov. 12.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to work within Louisiana’s entrepreneurship ecosystem to help minority owned businesses grow through access to capital and opportunities. It is gratifying to be a part of the MBDA business center network and work with organizations that share the same goals of bringing about economic parity for minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs) throughout the state,” said MBDA Business Center Program Director Charletta Fortson.

During the open house, guests will have the opportunity to tour the center meet staff, network with other minority owned business members, and also learn about program and services that the business center will provided, the press release states.

The Louisiana MBDA works to promote a slew of growth and global competitiveness for minority business enterprises, which include: provide programs that enhance existing businesses, expand economic development, create new venture opportunities with a special focus on advancing innovation and more.
