The Louisiana Department of Health confirmed four more cases of Zika virus this week.
All of the other cases in Louisiana are travel-related where the patients travelled to regions with ongoing Zika transmission. The patients were tested upon their return to Louisiana, which confirmed the viral infection.
The LDH said that there is a total of 19 cases of travel-associated Zika confirmed in Louisiana with no locally transmitted cases, as it is with cases in Florida.
