It can be tough for Louisiana residents to turn down Cajun cooking and signature southern dishes, so it’s no surprise that Louisiana’s obesity rate ranks fourth in the U.S., and more than 36% of the state’s population is obese.
But Louisianians may be looking to change those statistics ahead of the new year. An All Home Connections report titled “America’s Most Searched ‘Should I…?’ Questions,” which was released Wednesday, concluded that the No. 1 googled question in the Pelican State in 2019 is, “Should I diet?”
Louisiana isn’t the only state concerned with health. It’s one of 20 states with a high volume of health-related Google inquiries, and it’s joined in that category by its biggest rival, Alabama.
Other popular inquiries throughout the nation include: Should I drink? Should I move? Should I quit my job? Should I care?
California and Pennsylvania took more unexpected turns, with the most googled questions in those states being, respectively, “Should I shave my head?” and “Should I break up with my boyfriend?”
All Home Connections, an authorized reseller of AT&T phone and internet service, looked at every state’s search volume of 15 of the most googled “Should I…” questions for its research.
