BOGALUSA, La. (WDSU) — A Bogalusa mother was arrested Tuesday for impaired driving, after a crash that killed her 11-year-old son.

Louisiana State Police say they responded just before 6 p.m. Sunday, September 13 to a serious injury crash on LA 21 south of LA 3124 in Washington Parish.

One of the passengers, 11-year-old Jahni Green, of Bogalusa, was ejected during the crash and taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on September 15, according to LSP.

Troopers say the initial investigation shows Narfseea Green was traveling north on LA 21 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.

Narfseea sustained moderate injuries, and a 4-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries.

Troopers determined Narfseea was over the legal limit of alcohol at the time of the crash. A drug toxicology test is still pending at the crime lab, according to LSP.

An arrest warrant for Narfseea was obtained and she was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Washington Parish Jail.

She was booked on charges including vehicular homicide, careless operation, no child restraint and no seatbelt.
