Multiple fire departments respond to vacant house fire in BR

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Side Fire Department responded to a house fire on Monday morning.

According to the Central Fire Department, firefighters tackled a blaze at a vacant house located in the 19700 block of S Harrells Ferry Rd.

The call came in around 6:50 a.m. on June 8 and upon arrival, firefighters determined the home was located in the back of a long driveway.

After extinguishing the fire, investigators determined the vacant structure was a total loss.

Engine 323 and Chief 304 from the Central Fire Department also provided assistance along with the St George Fire Department.

There were no injuries reported relating to this fire.
