National Championship trophy to be displayed in Baton Rouge this week

BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) – There’s more good news for LSU football fans following the top-ranked team’s win over Clemson at the College Football Playoff National Championship game Monday night.

The National Championship Trophy will be displayed in two Baton Rouge stores this week for LSU Tiger fans to view.

The 24k gold trophy will be at Rouse’s Supermarket, located at 600 Arlington Creek Center Blvd., Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and it will be at Walmart, located at 3132 College Drive, Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Fans can get their photos taken with the trophy for free at both locations.

LSU was awarded the 50-pound trophy after defeating Clemson 42-25. This win marks the end of LSU’s 15-0 season.
