Airbnb to provide housing for 20,000 Afghan refugees

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Airbnb’s CEO, Brian Chesky, announced that Airbnb will provide temporary free housing for 20,000 Afghan refugees. Chesky says this will go into effect immediately.

“The displacement and resettlement of Afghan refugees in the US and elsewhere is one of the biggest humanitarian crises of our time. We feel a responsibility to step up,” Chesky tweeted.

Chesky hopes his gesture will inspire global leaders to do the same.
