Arrest made in Assumption Parish shooting incident

Assumption Parish Sheriff’s officials announced on Tuesday, July 30, the arrest of a Napoleanville man in connection to a shooting incident near Bertrandville earlier this month. The suspect has been identified as 22 year old Kivari L. Bridges.

The incident happened on July 21st. APSO deputies responded to the call of shots fired, reported by a woman who told them she was driving near Bertrandville, heard several shots, and when she pulled over, discovered several bullet holes in the vehicle she was driving.

Thanks to witnesses interviewed and evidence discovered during their investigation, detectives identified Kivari L. Bridges as a suspect in this incident, got a warrant, and arrested him.

Bridges is facing several charges, including Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. At last check, he was behind bars in the Assumption Parish Detention Center. pending a bond hearing.
