Update: BRPD identify man killed overnight on Ritterman Ave.

UPDATE:

The body of 51-year-old Paul Leday was discovered at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the vicinity of his residence.

Leday resided at 5227 Ritterman Ave. and BRPD said the shooting victim, “was found last night around 9:30 p.m. in a driveway near his residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.”

Leday was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives currently do not have any motives or suspects in this case.

BATON ROUGE, LA (LOCAL33) (FOX44) – Baton Rouge Police confirmed a male died after being shot on Ritterman Avenue.

According to BRPD, the shooting happened Tuesday night, shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of Ritterman.

A witness reports hearing about 7 shots fired.

The male witnesses described the man as a well-known person in the community who would speak to everyone.
