Jacob Bradford to join Renae Skinner as evening co-anchor for NBC Local 33 News

Jacob Bradford is joining NBC 33 as evening co-anchor in January.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Jacob Bradford is joining NBC Local 33 News as evening co-anchor.

Bradford will co-anchor the 5p, 6p, and 10p newscasts with Renae Skinner. They’ll be joined by Chief Meteorologist Ashley Ruiz and Sports Director Brian Holland.

“I’m elated to have Jacob Bradford join our news team. I’m even more excited to have Jacob join Renae on the anchor desk. I believe the two will become a team viewers in the Baton Rouge metro will come to enjoy and welcome into their homes” said John Walton, News Director for NBC Local 33 News/Fox 44 News.

Prior to joining NBC Local 33 News, Bradford served as weekend anchor/producer at WGNO, the ABC affiliate in New Orleans, La. Bradford also worked in Shreveport, La, and Abilene, Texas. During his time in Texas, Bradford earned a Lone Star Emmy for his work involving the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s assassination

“I’m excited to join the NBC Local 33 team! I grew up in South Louisiana. I now have the chance to stay close to family and friends, while doing what I love. This is truly a dream come true” said Bradford.

Bradford is a Louisiana native and a graduate of West Texas A&M University. His family moved to Texas in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast.

Jacob’s first day on air will be January 10.
