BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA/WGMB)– The Mayor’s Office made an update on the MOVEBR plan aimed at improving traffic in the Capitol City.

The program, approved by voters in 2018, will help traffic flow by upgrading signals and syncing them
in high traffic areas. Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome says the signal project includes equipment upgrades, software improvements and fiber optic cable that will connect nearly 500 traffic signals throughout the parish.

It’s expected that all the MOVEBR projects will be in place in the next two to three years.
