This year the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop will be virtual, Frontline workers will be honored

(WGMB/WVLA) — As we prepare to end 2020, hundreds of thousands of people who usually attend The Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball drop will not be allowed this year
due to the pandemic. The celebration will be broadcast for television and internet viewers.
Organizers say special guests will include frontline workers and activists who are offering hope during these difficult times.

Gloria Gaynor will also perform her anthem, ‘I Will Survive’ to an an empty audience.
