BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – As much as we love our dogs, between work and family obligations it may be a challenge to find where we can pencil in ‘quality time with the dog’ on our schedules.

The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge Parish (BREC) may have a solution.

If you’re like the average Louisianan and enjoy spending time out on the water, BREC suggests you consider signing your and your dog up for its one-hour stand-up paddleboard session on the LSU Lakes.

BREC says you don’t have to worry about purchasing equipment as they will provide you with everything you and your four-legged friend will need. BREC says, “We will even provide a dog wash station before you leave! Reserve your timeslot to splash with your pup now!”

The event takes place Saturday, August 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at BREC’s Greenwood Community Park.
