Neighbors work together to catch alleged local thief

DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) – The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office was asked to investigate multiple package thefts.

The thefts allegedly took place on Sunday, July 25 in two subdivisions.

Those subdivisions were Arbor Walk & Hidden Ridge.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘Homeowners were alert. They were aware. They used their home security cameras & social media to work together with detectives in my Armed Robbery & Burglary Division (or A.R.A.B.).

Further investigation led to the arrest of 56-year-old Pamela Sloane, of Denham Springs.

As of Friday, Sloane has been “linked to 8 cases of package theft.”

Sloane is facing charges on each count of package theft, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sheriff Jason Ard, ‘My A.R.A.B. detectives are still investigating reported package thefts. We appreciate those residents who stepped forward & continue to work with us.’
