BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The City of Baton Rouge confirms that the meeting scheduled for 12 p.m. on Monday has been cancelled.

Should some streets be renamed in Baton Rouge?

A virtual meeting is taking place on Monday where this is scheduled to be up for discussion.

The Advisory Committee to Provide Recommendations and Guiding Principles Regarding the Renaming or Honorary Designation of Certain Public Streets is meeting at 12 p.m.

According to the City of Baton Rouge, “The advisory committee shall hold meetings every other month and shall report to the Metropolitan Council at least once every ninety (90) days after its first meeting. The report shall be presented at a regularly scheduled council meeting.”
