BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Two new COVID-19 testing locations are opening up in Baton Rouge on Monday, June 1.
Ochsner Health is opening those locations along with two news ones in Sorrento.
The four new dates, times and locations are listed below:
“Ochsner’s investment in enhanced community testing is a critical step towards a continued safe reopening,” said Eric McMillen, CEO, Ochsner Baton Rouge. “I encourage everyone to come for a test to know your status. We’ve seen several positive cases with no symptoms.”
Details on who qualifies for these tests and what is needed when you show up at one of the locations can be found below:
- Testing is open to Louisiana residents, age two and older
- Doctor’s orders are not required
- You must bring a picture ID and insurance card, if applicable.
- There are no out-of-pocket costs for those seeking a test and no one will be turned away based on their insurance status
Testing will continue at these sites until there are no more tests left.
If you do decide to take a COVID-19 test, results should be available within 3 days through “the MyChart patient portal or by phone,” according to Ochsner.
