BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) The 19th Annual Terral C. Jackson, Sr. Ol’ Skool Variety Greek Show will kick off Juneteenth celebrations on Friday, June 16 in Baton Rouge at the Felton G. Clark Activity Center on the campus of Southern University and A&M College. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m.
The event is hosted by the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Baton Rouge, Incorporated. The group is known as the “Divine Nine” or D9, which is a collaborative umbrella council composed of historically African American fraternities and sororities.
The council promotes interaction through forums, meetings, and other media for the exchange of information that engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.
Other events will be held across the area, leading up to the federal holiday Juneteenth, which is Monday, June 19.
