OLOL Chief Medical Officer to speak at press club on Omicron variant Dec. 13

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) -The Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL) Cheif Medical Officer of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Dr. Catherine O’Neal, is guest speaking at the Press Club of Baton Rouge— on topics concerning COVID-19 and the Omicron variant on Monday, Dec. 13 at 11:30 a.m. in the ballroom at the Drusilla Seafood Restaurant.

The event is open to the public; lunch is served at noon— which is priced at $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers of the Press Club.

Dr. O’Neal is an infectious disease specialist; she is discussing local health concerns related to managing the COVID pandemic during the holidays and winter months, including how the Omicron variant could impact the metropolitan area, according to the news release.

This is the last meeting for 2021, the release states. The Press Club will resume its weekly schedule starting Jan. 10, 2022.
